Kids World is family owned and operated by Tim and Lori Hewitt, along with their children, Brynne and Benjamin.  Retail is no piece of cake, as many will tell you, but for this family, Kids World is the perfect fit.

Lori was born and raised in Bend, and loves the city she's grown up in.  After attending local Bend schools, Lori received a Bachelor's Degree in education from George Fox University, went on to teach elementary school in the Bend-LaPine School District, and then received her Master's Degree in education as well.  Her love for the classroom was challenged only by her new role as mom and she chose to be home full time for a while, molding little minds in her "classroom of two."

Helping teachers find the tools they need to do the work they put so much effort into is one of her specialties, and her belief that education comes in many forms, including imaginative play is the foundation for the very items that fill the shelves at Kids World.

Tim came to Bend when he and Lori were married in 1997.  He has a background in, and a passion for, both business and people...a perfect combo to make Kids World all that it is.  Tim's interest in games and science adds a necessary component in completing their vision for what Central Oregon needs in a store.

Tim and Lori strive to run their business with integrity, and undoubtedly, hard work.  They desire it to be a happy place--a place where young, and the young at heart will find something to make them smile, where the struggling student can find an answer, where teachers can excitedly prepare for a new school year, and where every Grandma wants to come for the perfect and unique gift.  And Brynne and Ben--well, they're the official toy testers, and let's just say they take their jobs very seriously!
